Qualifications :
Preferred : 2 years of technical or trade school with an emphasis on tool making or equivalent experience
Minimum 4 years of CNC programming experience
Valid identification and legal authorization to work in the United States
Strong technical and mathematical skills
Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines
Professional communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and customers
Basic computer proficiency
Knowledge & Abilities :
Proficient understanding of all processes within a manufacturing or machining environment
Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills
Comprehensive knowledge of component and / or mold manufacturing and in-process tolerancing
Extensive experience with Mastercam and CAM Tool software
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal departments
Commitment to safety and quality in daily operations
Essential Duties :
Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs using CAM software based on engineering blueprints, CAD models, and specifications
Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documents to define component dimensions, tolerances, and material requirements
Select appropriate cutting tools, materials, and machining techniques based on job specifications and machine capabilities
Analyze machining processes to improve efficiency, reduce cycle time, and enhance quality
Utilize CAM software to simulate toolpaths, verify accuracy, and detect potential collisions before production
Collaborate with engineers, toolmakers, and machinists to ensure programs meet technical and quality standards
Generate toolpath programs for electrodes and mold components (3-axis and 5-axis)
Verify programs and support shop floor operations to ensure successful execution
Identify opportunities for process automation and continuous improvement
Stay current with CNC technology trends and implement best practices to improve productivity
Mentor and train junior CNC programmers and machinists
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and industry standards
Perform additional tasks as assigned
