Salvage Associate PM

Overview

ADUSA Distribution is the distribution company of Ahold Delhaize USA, providing distribution services to a large grocery retail supply chain. We receive, store, manage inventory, and ship fresh and non-perishable products across our local brand stores. Our facilities handle a mix of product types including fresh, frozen, grocery, and health and beauty care items. Our team supports the supply chain network evolution to an integrated self-distribution model for omnichannel grocery brands.

Primary Purpose : In this role as a Salvage Associate, you will be responsible for efficiently and safely moving and maintaining salvage material, and for upkeep and cleanliness of fleet trailers. You will be a motivated self-starter and team member contributing to overall warehouse operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Unload all salvage trailers returning from retail stores
• Separate milk crates, milk pallets, cardboard bales, banana boxes, cigarette totes, store returns, store transfers, bread trays, and plastic bales
• Separate plastic clean, dirty, and / or empty pallets
• Sweep out and prepare fleet trailers for shipping departments
• Load salvage trailers with milk crates for pick up from dairy
• Load reclaim product to be shipped to reclaim center
• Wash the interior of trailers
• Separate, sort, and load bad pallets
• Load plastic trailers, cardboard trailers, and vendor pallets (CHEP / PECO)
• Key completed trailers into Yard Management System (where applicable)
• Maintain communication with the switcher to ensure accurate and timely trailer moves
• Follow proper sanitation practices; keep work area clean and free of debris
• Make recommendations for modifications to procedures or processes to maximize efficiency, productivity, and reduce costs
• Ensure compliance with Delhaize America standards in accuracy, safety, and productivity
• Able to work the required schedule to perform assigned duties
