Department : Emergency Room (ER)\nShift : Rotating 3x12-Hour (07 : 00 – 19 : 00 / 19 : 00 – 07 : 00)\n\nImportant : \n ⚠️ Affiliate must already have an account created / registered to run the MN NetStudy prior to candidate submission.\n\nPosition Requirements\n\nCertifications Required : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC\n\nPreferred : PALS\n\nExperience : \n\nMinimum 2 years of ER experience\n\nPrevious Med-Surg experience required\n\nFacility & Unit Details\n\nTrauma Level : IV\n\nDesignations : STEMI Receiving & Stroke Center\n\nBeds / Trauma Bays : 4 beds, 2 trauma bays\n\nFast Track : No\n\nTriage : No separate triage area; travelers not required to perform triage\n\nER Holds : Intermixed within ER\n\nPsych / Seclusion Rooms : Yes\n\nSecurity : Not housed in ER, not 24 / 7 in-unit\n\nAverage ER Census : ~10 patients per day\n\nStaffing & Support\n\nPhysician Coverage : ED physician on duty at all times\n\nCharge Nurse : Present each shift; takes patient assignments\n\nSupport Staff : Nurse aides / EMT / Paramedics / Patient sitters on-call\n\nRT : Not present 24 / 7; RNs handle respiratory care & equipment troubleshooting\n\nTele / Monitor Techs : None – RNs read their own strips\n\nTelemetry System : Mindray\n\nRadiology / Lab : X-ray and CT available; lab staff performs phlebotomy\n\nShift & Scheduling\n\nShift Times : \n\nDays : 07 : 00 – 19 : 00\n\nNights : 19 : 00 – 07 : 00\n\nSchedule Type : Rotating Day / Night; block scheduling may be considered\n\nWeekend Requirement : Every other weekend (EOW)\n\nHoliday Requirement : Required if it falls within scheduled block\n\nOn-Call : None\n\nFloat Requirements : May float to Med-Surg and Swing Bed (same unit)\n\nOrientation : 1 full 12-hour shift\n\nAdditional Details\n\nScrub Color : Navy Blue\n\nRadius Rule : Must live at least 50 miles from facility\n\nEmployment Restriction : Candidates cannot be full-time, part-time, or PRN at any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facility within the past year\n\nRTO Policy : All requested time off must be provided upfront; no additional RTO will be approved after submission
