About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Must-Have :

• Ability to couplet care for well babies
• Ability to manage labor patients
• Experience circulating cesarean sections
• Proficiency in Epic documentation system

Description :

This position involves working in a Labor and Delivery unit.

The nurse will manage laboring patients and perform couplet care.

The nurse will also triage obstetrical patients.

Providing support for breastfeeding and lactation is essential.

Assisting with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections is required.

The position involves assessing and caring for newborns, including managing hypoglycemia and phototherapy.

The nurse will be responsible for newborn identification and thermoregulation.

Additional responsibilities include postpartum care and managing episiotomy / incisional care.

The unit focuses on couplet care, where most newborns will room in with their parents.

The nurse should be prepared to float to similar units as needed.

Continuous professional development and adaptability are key in this role.
