Position Overview
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for overseeing all financial operations, strategic planning, and fiscal management of the firm and its portfolio companies. The CFO will play a critical role in shaping the company’s financial strategy, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance, managing investor relations, and supporting value creation across the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Firm-Level Financial Leadership
- Oversee all aspects of the firm’s financial management, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Develop and implement financial policies, systems, and internal controls to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Partner with senior leadership to define long-term financial strategy and capital structure.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, banks, and legal and tax advisors.
- Prepare financial statements and performance reports for internal and investor use.
Private Equity Fund Management
Oversee fund accounting, capital calls, distributions, and management fee calculations.Ensure accurate valuation and reporting of portfolio company performance.Support fundraising efforts, including financial modeling, due diligence, and investor communications.Manage limited partner (LP) relations, ensuring timely and transparent financial reporting.Portfolio Company Support
Provide financial oversight and guidance to portfolio company GMs and finance teams.Participate in acquisition due diligence, financial modeling, and integration planning.Help drive value creation initiatives, including margin improvement, working capital optimization, and strategic exits.Risk Management & Compliance
Ensure compliance with all financial, tax, and regulatory requirements.Establish risk management policies, including investment risk assessment and insurance coverage.Oversee financial technology systems and data security practices.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.10+ years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.Prior experience in private equity, venture capital, investment management, or a related financial institution.Deep understanding of fund structures, capital accounting, and investor reporting.Proven ability to manage complex financial operations and lead cross-functional teams.Strong analytical, strategic, and communication skills.High degree of integrity, professionalism, and discretion.Compensation and Benefits
