Lab Assistant, Kim's Lab

The Lab Assistant will provide support to biomedical research activities by assisting senior laboratory staff with the preparation, setup, and execution of basic scientific experiments. Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate inventories of biological samples, reagents, and laboratory consumables; ensuring timely restocking of supplies such as pipettes, tubes, and sterile solutions; and assisting with the preparation of scientific posters, presentations, and documentation. The role also involves routine upkeep of laboratory equipment, monitoring supply quality and expiration dates, and ensuring compliance with biosafety and research protocols. The Lab Assistant will play an integral role in supporting efficient day-to-day laboratory operations, contributing to high-quality research outcomes, and fostering a safe and organized laboratory environment. Assist senior lab personnel with basic science experiment set ups, poster preparation and maintenance of inventory of samples, lab supplies such as reagents, pipets and restock supplies.

• Knowledge of basic scientific technology.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to use basic office productivity software (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of basic laboratory safety requirements.
• Ability to follow the direction of the Lab Director and Supervisor.
• High School Diploma or equivalent
