As Sr. Manager overseeing the delivery of data and analytics capabilities, our mission is to drive the execution in delivering capabilities that support how we acquire, harmonize, integrate, and leverage data as a strategic asset. Lead multifaceted teams in collaboration with other IT leaders and business stakeholders to turn data into impact. This role is pivotal in shaping Talking Rain's data-driven decision-making culture and enabling scalable, insight-rich solutions across the enterprise.

Direct Reports : Data Engineers, BI Developers, Integration Engineers
Location : Hybrid at our Preston, WA office at least 3 days onsite per week.
- While we strive to offer flexibility, this role also requires it. There may be times when you're expected to come onsite outside your typical in-office days to support special projects, team events, or other business needs.
Annual Bonus Potential : 18% - Eligibility is based on the company hitting annual financial targets.
Base Salary : $150,000 - $180,000 (depending on experience). Note : New hires typically receive between minimum and midpoint, however, we may go slightly higher based on experience, internal equity and market.
Leadership
Co-create and implement the Reporting and Analytics strategy, aligning with Data, Technology, and Enterprise roadmaps.Recruit, coach, mentor, and retain high-performing talent; build a culture of accountability and development.Communicate and evangelize the value of data to senior leadership and the wider organization.Collaborate cross-functionally (Finance, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain) to co-develop data-driven business solutions.Ensure successful delivery of projects by aligning with business / IT partners, managing vendors and resources, and embedding consistent, mature practices across teams.Engage with strategic delivery partners and manage resourcing needs to scale capacity according to business needs and in alignment with the corporate strategic roadmap.Data Analytics
Lead the analytics team to deliver high-impact insights and dashboards, leveraging Microsoft Fabric and related technologies to ensure robust, scalable solutions.Promote self-service analytics and democratization of data, enabling a broader community of analysts and business users.Translate complex technical solutions and statistical findings into clear narratives that drive business action.Data Integration & Engineering
Oversee data architecture and integrations, ensuring seamless data flow within Talking Rain and to external partners.Drive optimization for performance, cost, and reliability across integration and engineering solutions.Establish repeatable patterns for acquiring and harmonizing third-party datasets with Talking Rain's proprietary data.Onsite responsibilities of this position include : Speeds decision-making Having the right people in the same room means questions get answered and roadblocks get cleared instantly, which is critical when building for scale and aligning priorities across Technology, Internal Stakeholders, and partners. Enables richer, faster feedback loops Real-time observation and discussion with Rain Makers across departments help us spot gaps, adapt processes, and improve outcomes immediately.
What You Bring
5+ years of progressive analytics experience, including 34 years in a managerial role; CPG or related industry experience highly desired.Proven track record of delivering data-driven solutions that improve revenue, margin, or operational efficiency.Experience managing multiple teams of 3+ individuals, with a focus on accountability and performance.Expertise across data engineering, data science, visualization, and integrations, with strong proficiency in platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, SQL, Python, R, Spark, AWS / Azure, Tableau, and Power BI.Experience leveraging agile methodologies and tools such as Azure DevOps or JIRA.Skilled communicator who can translate complex data into business narratives for varied audiences.Familiarity with ERP and operations data (e.g., D365 Finance and Operations) is a plus.Ability to motivate and unify teams toward shared goals.Rain Makers are people who are accountable, curious, and inclusive.
