Nestled at the base of Vail Mountain, along the banks of Gore Creek, Grand Hyatt Vail is located in the heart of Vail Valley within the Cascade Village neighborhood. Featuring Vail's premier open-air chairlift directly next to our spacious ski valet and rental shop, Grand Hyatt Vail offers the most convenient access to Vail Mountain, adventure, and respite. From skiing and snowboarding, seasonally inspired resort activities, and luxurious amenities, Grand Hyatt Vail has something for everyone. Enjoy an array of Colorado inspired dining options, comfortable guest rooms and warm hospitality at Vail's premier ski-in / ski-out resort. Organization - Grand Hyatt Vail

The line cook prepares food to order according to our recipes, procedures, quality expectations, and speed levels. The starting rate of pay is $20-25.00 / hour, commensurate with experience.

Essential Functions

  • Maintains stock (restocks), cleans, and organizes work area.
  • Prepares food according to procedures and standards within allowable time guidelines. Responds to guests' special requests.
  • Safely operates equipment (determined by position).
  • Practices proper & safe food handling, storage, receiving, stocking & rotating procedures.

Food items are prepared for guests according to our standards of quality, consistency, and timelines, maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and safety standards to ensure guest satisfaction and repeat business.

    Qualifications

  • Lifts and carries sacks, boxes & product up to 25 lbs. from floor to above waist level, approximately 20 feet sometimes involving stairs.
  • Stands or walks during the entire 8-10 hour shift.
  • Hazards include but are not limited to cuts, burns, slips, trips, and falls.
  • Performs job at a continuously high pace, under pressure, while maintaining quality and speed standards.
  • Reads and understands English.
  • Interacts verbally with other line positions.
  • Works closely with other staff members, often in confined areas.
  • Flexible in performing other related tasks designated from management.
  • Meets all required standards for safe food handling.
  • Previous experience in a Japanese kitchen preferred.
