About the Role :

The Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) plays a vital role in providing compassionate and direct care to residents in a healthcare setting located in Northview, 0950. This position is focused on supporting nursing staff by assisting residents with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and dignity. The C.N.A. will be responsible for monitoring residents' health status and reporting any changes to the nursing team promptly. This role requires a strong commitment to resident-centered care, effective communication, and teamwork to contribute to a positive healthcare environment. Ultimately, the C.N.A. helps improve patient outcomes by delivering attentive and respectful care that meets individual needs and promotes well-being.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) certification
  • Basic knowledge of patient care and safety procedures.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening as required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Previous experience working as a C.N.A. in a healthcare or long-term care setting.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Additional training or coursework in geriatric or rehabilitative care.
  • Responsibilities :

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
  • Monitor and record residents' vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
  • Provide mobility assistance, including helping residents move safely and using assistive devices as needed.
  • Observe and report any changes in patients' physical or emotional condition to the nursing staff.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents by following infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
  • Support nursing staff with basic clinical tasks and documentation as directed.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members to ensure coordinated care.
  • Skills :

    The required skills such as resident care techniques, vital sign monitoring, and effective communication are essential for daily interactions with residents and healthcare team members, ensuring accurate and timely care delivery. Attention to detail and observational skills help the C.N.A. identify changes in resident conditions and report them promptly, which is critical for resident safety. Preferred skills like familiarity with electronic health records enhance efficiency in documentation and information sharing. Interpersonal skills foster trust and comfort with residents, improving their overall experience. Additionally, teamwork and adaptability are important as the C.N.A. collaborates with nurses and other staff to meet the dynamic needs of the healthcare environment.
