Job Description

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Job Specialty : Infusion - Chemotherapy

Job Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Day 5x8-Hour (08 : 00 - 16 : 30)

Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours

Experience : Minimum 2 years RN experience required

License : WV or compact license (pending license acceptable)

Certifications : BLS (via American Heart Association)

Must-Have : Candidates must live greater than 100 miles from the facility

Job Description :

• Responsible for providing infusion services, specifically in chemotherapy
• Schedule includes a daily caseload of approximately 70 patients with a 1 : 4 patient ratio
• Required skills include CBCT / kV / mV imaging, external beam therapy treatment, IMRT, and prophylactic treatments
• General skills in radiation safety are mandatory
• Preferred experience in Infusion Center and both inpatient & outpatient oncology settings
• Orientation consists of 16 non-billable hours
• Modules must be completed prior to start; they typically require 2-4 hours and are specific to the traveler's specialty
• Flu vaccine is required unless medically exempt, with documentation needed from an allergist or physician
• Scrub color for this position is Royal Blue
• Note : Current employees from the health system are not eligible for a travel contract at this facility. Modules and full documentation are necessary for compliance before starting. Orientation is scheduled every other Thursday.
