Stormwater / Drainage Engineer

We are looking for a Stormwater / Drainage Engineer to work on a broad range of stormwater projects. Some projects will include standalone stormwater projects that include drainage studies, watershed modeling, floodplain mapping and conceptual alternatives analysis. Other projects will include integration with design components, including flood mitigation, stormwater master planning, waterway restoration, water quality BMPs and stormwater design. Additional projects will function as a support for design of Transportation projects across the company.

Responsibilities will include hydrologic and hydraulic analysis of open channels, closed storm drainage systems; design components of open channels, culverts, bridges and storm sewer infrastructure; scour analysis and streambank stabilization; and flood inundation mapping. In this role you will contribute to a collaborative team environment.

Location

This individual will have a hybrid work schedule and can work out of either our Denver, CO or Johnstown, CO offices.

The Impact You Will Have

• Perform hydraulic and hydrology (H&H) analyses for a wide variety of projects
• Evaluate stormwater-related design components for a variety of projects
• Prepare written reports in conformance with client and industry standards
• Assist with the development of floodplain maps
• Assist with plan production related to drainage design, stormwater management and detention facilities, water quality, quantities and specifications
• Contribute to project goals and milestones and monitor project progress
• Assist in preparation of specifications and cost estimates for a wide variety of stormwater design and planning projects
• Ensure the development of high-quality engineering documents
• Adhere to all internal procedures for quality control, documentation, and project tracking
• Assist with project pursuits

The expected compensation range for this position is displayed in accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. The final agreed-upon compensation is based on numerous factors, including but not limited to individual education, qualifications, prior work experience, and geographic location. The total annual compensation package will consist of a base salary, overtime, and bonuses.

Colorado Pay Range $65,000—$95,000 USD
