About KATA

KATA is a celebrated culinary destination in Washington, DC, known for its bold flavors and signature Grand Dumpling. This holiday season, we’re bringing our world-famous dumplings to the iconic Downtown DC Holiday Market, where thousands of cheerful patrons gather to enjoy festive food, shopping, and entertainment.

The Role

We’re looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and customer-focused individuals to join our team for the holiday season. As a Seasonal Team Member, you’ll be the face of KATA at the market—serving our Grand Dumplings, engaging with guests, and helping create a warm, festive experience.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and serve patrons with energy and positivity
  • Prepare and serve KATA’s Grand Dumplings with care and consistency
  • Handle cash and electronic transactions accurately
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the booth
  • Assist with setup and breakdown of the stand each day
  • Represent KATA’s brand with professionalism and hospitality

Qualifications

  • Friendly, outgoing personality with strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliability and punctuality are a must
  • Comfortable standing for extended periods and performing light physical tasks
  • Prior food service or retail experience is a plus, but not required

    • Schedule & Compensation

  • Seasonal position from November 19 – December 23, 2025
  • Must be available to work between 9 : 00 AM – 10 : 00 PM, Sunday through Saturday (flexible shifts within these hours)
  • Hourly pay : $15 plus tips
