Position : Bartender
FLSA : Part-Time, Non-Exempt
Schedule : This part-time position will be located at the Augustine Institute in Florissant, Missouri
Reporting to : Food and Beverage Director
Position Summary :
We are seeking a skilled and friendly bartender to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about customer service, knowledgeable about a wide range of beverages, and capable of creating a welcoming atmosphere for patrons. As a bartender, you will be responsible for preparing and serving drinks, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring guests have a positive experience.
Responsibilities :
- Greet customers and take drink orders
- Mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to recipes
- Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Check identification to ensure customers meet minimum age requirements for alcohol consumption
- Monitor customer behavior and consumption to ensure a safe and responsible environment
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area
- Manage bar inventory, restock supplies, and notify management of shortages
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and operate the point-of-sale (POS) system
- Follow all food and beverage regulations and health and safety guidelines
Qualifications :
Proven experience as a bartender or in a similar hospitality roleKnowledge of beer, wine, and cocktail recipesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentStrong organizational and multitasking abilitiesMust be of legal age to serve alcoholCertification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS or local equivalent) is a plusWorking Conditions :
