We are seeking a passionate, warm, reliable and dedicated individual to join our team in the infant and toddler classrooms (part time or full time). You will play a vital role in educating and nurturing young children, fostering their growth and development. You will create a positive and engaging environment that promotes social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. Cainhoy Children's Academy is a private, family owned preschool in the Cainhoy / Point Hope community near Daniel Island, and we have been open for more than 5 years now.
Responsibilities :
- Provide a safe and supportive environment for children to explore, learn, and play
- Foster a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages active participation and engagement
- Monitor and assess each child's progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies for growth
- Collaborate with parents / guardians to ensure open communication and involvement in their child's education
- Maintain accurate records of each child's development, behavior, and attendance
- Promote positive behavior management techniques to create a respectful and inclusive classroom environment
- Provide tools and resources for children to use and explore during learning and play activities
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the interests and learning styles of children
- Maintain a clean and tidy classroom
- Help children reach developmental milestones
- Collaborate with others to implement lesson plans
- Encourage children to interact with each other to develop social skills
- Adhere to health / safety and sanitation procedures
Requirements :
6 months (minimum) experience working in a licensed childcare facility.Lift up to 40 lbs.Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and best practicesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children, parents / guardians, and colleaguesAbility to create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that supports each child's unique needsPassion for working with young children and helping them reach their full potentialFully capable to have visual and hearing capabilities consistent with Child LicensingAt our preschool, we offer competitive pay rates, professional development opportunities, and a supportive work environment.
