What Youll Do

As a Quality Inspector as part of our Quality team Located in Willard Ohio. Youll get to :

Responsibilities / Authority :

• Perform layouts on fabricated and sub-assembled products to ensure they meet design intent utilizing metrology equipment and blueprints
• Perform part changeover first piece inspections
• Proper setup of parts from reading a blueprint utilizing datum schemes
• Weld destruction and life testing of product with testing equipment
• Knowledge of and understanding of GD&T and ability to validate compliance
• Knowledge of SPC capability studies and what standard deviation represents
• Interact with Quality and Manufacturing personnel and troubleshoot when issues arise
• Utilize precision measuring equipment (e.g. micrometers calipers torque testers tensile testers hardness testers and CMMs along with other metrology equipment)
• Perform skilled calibrations and certifications on small metrology tools
• Interact with Quality and Manufacturing personnel and troubleshoot when issues arise
• Maintain quality production and safety standards following all ISO and company procedures
• Recognize concerns and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
• Detail Oriented to perform precision inspections with repeatability and reproducibility
• Pass competency review of all 20 elements after being trained on Level B competency skills
• Complete other departmental tasks assigned by the Supervisor or Zone Leader
• Knowledge of weld and assembly fixture nets pads locator pins and clamps and effect on build condition
