Essential Duties and Responsibilities
In this role you will be :
- Assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and recording patient care in accordance with the medical and nursing plans of care, policies, and procedures.
- Participating in teaching and involving individuals and their families in their health promotion, maintenance, restoration, and rehabilitation.
- Coordinating discharge planning in conjunction with other members of the health team.
- Directing and assisting with the Licensed Practical Nurse, Nursing Assistant, and Nursing Student in rendering care to patients.
- Working collaboratively with all members of the patient care team and provides leadership so that standards of professional nursing practice are maintained in the clinical setting.
- Able to respond quickly and appropriately to changes in patients’ clinical condition.
- Demonstrating the ability to function as a charge nurse as assigned.
- Demonstrating knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the span of life.
- Identifying age-specific needs and planning care accordingly.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required :
EDUCATION : Graduate of an accredited nursing programEXPERIENCE : 2 years of clinical experience working in a physician’s office or in an ambulatory care setting preferredLICENSURE / CERTIFICATION :Possess current license as an RN in Pennsylvania, or must pass nursing boards within 6 months of hire
