Overdose Helpline Operator

A company is looking for an Overdose Helpline Operator, General Internal Medicine (per diem).

Key Responsibilities

Manage incoming calls from individuals seeking assistance and provide guidance on overdose recognition and response

Document call interactions in the REDCap database and connect callers with local resources for long-term recovery

Collaborate with emergency responders and healthcare professionals to ensure appropriate intervention in overdose cases

Required Qualifications

Relevant lived experience with overdose, harm reduction, or substance use preferred

Demonstrated ability to handle crisis situations with empathy and professionalism

Strong commitment to treating all callers with respect and without judgment

Comfortable using helpline software and digital communication platforms

Adherence to confidentiality policies regarding caller information
