Staff Accountant (Property Management)

The West Side Federation for Senior and Supportive Housing, Inc. (WSFSSH) is a community-based organization responding to the need for low-cost housing. Our mission is to provide safe, affordable housing with supportive services within a residential setting which enhances the independence and dignity of each person. WSFSSH develops, manages, and provides social services in housing for low-income persons, especially those who are older, who have experienced homelessness and who live with mental illness.

Job Summary

Reporting directly to the Director of Audit and Property Management, the Junior Accountant will be responsible for entering cash receipts, bank transfers, reconciliation and reporting.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

Audit and Analysis Responsibilities :

• Record all incoming cash receipts in MIP
• Record all interbank transfers in MIP
• Record all reclassification journal entries on cash receipts and bank transfers
• Generate monthly Accounts Payable Aging reports for Borinquen, Fania, Mill Brook, W 108th Street, West 80’s and Tres Puentes
• Prepare & submit PSS report for NYCHA in a timely manner
• Prepare & submit DAPM report in a timely manner
• Prepare CPC reports in a timely manner
• Assist in preparation of RPIE reports
• Assist with reconciliation of resident and subsidiary ledgers in Real page
• Adjust HPD and NYCHA subsidy payments in Real Page in a timely manner
• Prepare bank reconciliation statements, as requested.
• Other duties, as assigned
