Overview
Review fabrication drawings issued by the Project Manager and relay critical details to the Shop Lead. Collaborate with the Shop Lead and Project Manager to identify and resolve discrepancies or issues with shop drawings. Oversee and enforce safety procedures and protocols within the production area to ensure a safe working environment. Manage inventory and coordination of main steel, fasteners, and buyout items with relevant team members. Supervise maintenance and repair of all shop equipment to ensure operational efficiency. Manage the ordering and inventory of shop consumables. Monitor the production schedule, ensuring timelines are met and promptly communicating any delays or changes to the Supervisor. Coordinate with the Logistics Supervisor on all incoming and outgoing deliveries. Create, maintain, and manage records of outgoing delivery tickets and work with Logistics to ensure signed delivery confirmations are received.

Experience & Technical Knowledge
3–5 years of experience in a fabrication or metalworking environment, including 2+ years in a supervisory or leadership roleStrong understanding of structural steel, welding techniques, and fabrication processesAbility to accurately read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and technical specificationsLeadership & Communication
Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and motivate shop teams in a production-driven environmentClear and effective communication skills across all levels of the organizationStrong decision-making and problem-solving skills with a hands-on leadership approachSafety & Compliance
Solid knowledge of OSHA standards and workplace safety proceduresCommitted to maintaining and enforcing a culture of safety in all operationsOrganizational & Operational Skills
Proven ability to manage production schedules and prioritize workloads efficientlyExperience overseeing equipment maintenance and repair schedulingFamiliarity with basic computer programs (ie Microsoft Office) for communication, tracking, and documentationEducation & Certifications
High school diploma or GED requiredTrade school, technical certification, or welding / fabrication training preferredOSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plusSeniority level
