Commercial Lines Underwriter

A company is looking for an Underwriter - Specialty.

Key Responsibilities

Underwrite new commercial business, renewal policies, and endorsements to meet agency profitability and production objectives

Evaluate individual risks and integrate findings into the workflow of a Commercial Underwriter

Assist in developing action plans and communicate effectively with agents to achieve written premium goals

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

Three years of experience in commercial multi-line underwriting

Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, or a related field

Completion of a certificate in General Insurance and Associate in Underwriting program

Experience in analyzing agency performance and implementing corrective actions

Ability to mentor and provide guidance to junior underwriters
