Security Officer - Commercial Lobby Desk PT

As a Security Officer - Commercial Lobby Desk PT in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal in a commercial real estate location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and tenants. Your responsibilities include monitoring access, verifying credentials, and providing exceptional customer service while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. You will help to deter security-related incidents through your presence and communication, embodying our values of teamwork, reliability, and integrity every day.

Position Type : Part Time

Pay Rate : $16.50 / Hour

Job Schedule :

DayTimeWed04 : 00 PM - 12 : 00 AM

Thur04 : 00 PM - 12 : 00 AM

What You'll Do :

  • Greet and assist visitors, tenants, and employees at the front desk, providing a welcoming presence in a commercial real estate location.
  • Monitor access to the building by verifying credentials and maintaining visitor logs as required by site-specific policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal procedures and client guidelines.
  • Communicate professionally with building occupants and guests to address inquiries and provide information as needed.
  • Assist with implementing emergency response activities when appropriate, following established protocols.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel to help to deter potential issues.
  • Maintain a clean and organized front desk area, supporting the overall professional environment of the location.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience are required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
