Assumes responsibility for care of patients and functions as a member of the health care team, taking direction and guidance from Registered Nurse. All care is provided in compliance with and according to department policy / procedure and Standards of Care.\n\nQualifications : \n\nRequired : \n

• BLS Certification through American Heart Association only\n
• Ability to read, write, and speak English\n
• Effective communication skills and basic math skills\n
• Successful completion of all Orientation Programs\n\nPreferred : \n
• Previous Nursing Assistant experience and / or successful completion of two Registered Nurse accredited clinical courses and / or completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant program\n\nCertifications and Licenses : \n
• BLS certification through American Heart Association\n\nScheduling Requirements : \n
• Days 7a-3p\n
• Every other weekend required, schedule during the week will vary depending on department needs\n
• Full-Time\n
• Mandatory Orientation\n\nEssential Functions : \n
• Participates in assessment of patient needs and communication with the health care team\n
• Participates in staff, patient and / or family education to a degree consistent with personal knowledge base\n
• Participates in unit Quality Improvement activities\n
