Security Officer - Healthcare Patrol

As a Security Officer - Healthcare Patrol in Hattiesburg, MS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you'll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availabilitygiving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Your presence and routine patrols help to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate : $11.50 / Hour

Job Schedule :

DayTimeMon09 : 15 PM - 01 : 30 AMTue09 : 15 PM - 01 : 30 AMWed09 : 15 PM - 01 : 30 AM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and / or disturbances.
  • Assist with access control procedures for visitors, staff, and vendors as required.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and / or unusual occurrences according to site procedures.
  • Support emergency response activities as needed, including assisting with evacuations and / or providing directions.
  • Maintain a visible Allied Universal presence throughout the location to help to deter potential issues and provide reassurance to those on site.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid guard card or license is preferred.
  • Experience providing customer service is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
