University of New Mexico-GallupBranch, Applied Technologies & Allied Health Sciences Division,anticipates hiring adjunct faculty to teach face-to-face and / or develop lowerdivision courses (100 level)in the Fall 2025, Spring2026, and Summer 2026 semesters in the followinganticipated potential disciplines :

UNM Gallup is a two-year branchcampus of the University of New Mexico located approximately 130 miles westof Albuquerque. The University of New Mexico established branchcolleges to provide the highest quality of education for students pursuingpost-secondary education at different locations throughout the state. Branchcolleges respond specifically to the unique needs and multiculturalbackgrounds of their respective communities by offering community educationprograms, career and technical education including certificate and associatedegree programs, and transfer programs that prepare students for upperdivision entry into colleges and universities.

The Applied Technologies & Allied Health Sciences Division at UNM GallupBranch is seeking qualified temporary part-time faculty members to teachlower division classes in various courses or topics as specified above. UNMGallup instructors are responsible for all aspects of any class they areteaching including but not limited to meeting face-to-face with the class duringassigned times that may include evenings or weekends, content delivery,assignment development, grading assignments, reporting of grades, andassessment of student learning as outlined by the division chair.

Positions are contingent upon need each semester as determined by studentenrollment levels, current course offering matrix, and demand driven bygraduation requirements. Positions may be filled or eliminated eachsemester up to the deadline for students to drop or add courses. Candidateswho are selected for these positions will report to the division chair.

Wages

Adjunct Faculty are currentlycompensated on the basis of their credentials and credit hour course loads.Salary range : $1,135.26 per credit hour.

  • Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification orability to become ASE-certified in topic-specific area related to course(s)taught (i.e, A series, C1, E Series, F1, G1, L1, L3, T Series, X1)
  • A demonstrated commitment to cultivate an understanding of the rich and varied cultures of New Mexico and to the success of the university's mission to serve local and global communities.
