Systems Administrator (Day-Shift)

Position Title :

• Systems Administrator (Day-Shift) Location : Washington, DC Clearance : Top Secret with ability to obtain SCI   Position Description Conceras is seeking a highly skilled Systems Administrator to support a large federal government agency in a mission-critical, high-security environment.
• This position requires on-site support at a secure government facility and participation in a rotating schedule that may include weekends, holidays, and on-call responsibilities.   Description of Duties Monitor, track, and coordinate facilities and infrastructure projects impacting Data Center operations , ensuring operational continuity and documenting risk, outage windows, and required changes.
• Monitor, triage, troubleshoot, and perform systems administration, maintenance activities, and periodic health checks on a complex enterprise messaging platform.
• Conduct operations and maintenance activities related to Active Directory, directory services, group policies, security compliance, and data / systems backup.
• Install and validate system and application patches; perform scheduled password cycling and signature / virus definition updates.
• Develop, test, and execute PowerShell scripts to identify potential system issues and automate routine administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional service offices to remediate system outages, performance issues, and network / application defects.
• Support mission-critical operations requiring strict adherence to SOPs and cryptographic handling procedures.   Required Experience / Skills / Attributes Microsoft Server 2003 / 2008 / 2012; Active Directory; Windows XP / 2003 / 2007; Office 2010.
• Operator / maintenance experience with NSA cryptographic equipment (e.g., Type-1 devices, KIV-series, KG-series) and common NSA fill devices such as the SKL / AN-PYQ-10, DTD, and KYK-13.

• Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures and take verbal direction accurately.

• PowerShell scripting expertise.
• NetIQ AppManager Control Center and Operator Console.
• VMware vSphere Client; NetApp OnCommand System Manager 2.2.
• Information Support Server Environment (ISSE) 3.x / 4.x.
• General switch, router, and firewall management.
• Network and host vulnerability assessment and mitigation.
• CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+ certifications.
• ITIL Foundations certification.   Required Education / Experience Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent experience without a degree.
