JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary / Objective
The engraver engraves part numbers, serial numbers, vendor codes and other necessary requirements per customer request.
Essential Functions

1. Determines engraving is correct by checking information from quality assurance, such as part numbers, serial numbers, vendor codes and other requirements necessary as per customer request.
2. Determines that the correct final cards are with the jobs to be engraved. Assists in serializing the correct number(s) on parts.
3. Works with the production supervisor to determine job priority and schedule.
4. Ensures parts are distributed to quality assurance for final inspection before shipping.
5. Keeps assembly department and surrounding areas clean and free of foreign object damage.
6. Keeps the production supervisor advised of work status, workload, problems and progress as related to work assignments.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
Physical Demands

The employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking and bending. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7 : 00 a.m. to 3 : 00 p.m., 40 hours per week.
Travel
No travel is expected for this position.
Required Education and Experience

1. High school diploma or GED diploma.
Preferred Education and Experience

1. One to three years’ related experience, including operation of laser engraving machinery, blueprint reading and manufacturing production experience or training.
