American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Apple Valley, California.

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced NICU RN with a current CA license, BCLS, NRP, and PALS for night shifts in an acute care hospital.

Responsibilities

  • Work in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) within an acute care hospital setting
  • Patient population includes critically ill and premature neonates
  • Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week (18 : 00–6 : 30)
  • Every other weekend shifts required
  • Use of Epic EMR, prior Epic experience required
  • No floating between like units
  • No on-call required
  • RNs are required to wear navy blue scrubs
  • Must be willing to float to other facilities within the state if needed
  • Must commit to working three out of five major holidays : Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
  • Pre-assignment modules to be completed before start
  • Free onsite parking available
  • Not open to first-time travelers

    • Requirements

  • Active CA RN license required; no temporary licenses accepted
  • Minimum of 2 years recent NICU RN experience required
  • Certifications required : BCLS, NRP, and PALS
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Must provide two supervisory references covering one year within the last three years
  • Former perm staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
  • Must live outside a 50-mile radius from the facility to qualify as a traveler
