Job Summary :

Genesis Drug Discovery and Development (GD3 Services), a member of Genesis Global Group is a leading contract research organization (CRO) comprised of Chemistry, Bioanalytical, Disease Modeling and Toxicology Divisions and dedicated to accelerating drug discovery and development. Our Disease Modeling division specializes in providing high-quality, customized animal models and related services to support preclinical research across a wide range of therapeutic areas. We pride ourselves on our scientific expertise, collaborative approach, and commitment to helping our clients bring life-saving therapies to market.

The Disease Modeling Division at GD3 offers a comprehensive suite of in vivo and in vitro models, advanced technologies, and experienced scientists to support our clients' research needs. We are a dynamic team dedicated to providing exceptional service and scientific rigor. We work with a diverse range of animal models and are involved in cutting-edge research across multiple therapeutic areas.

The Disease Modeling Division of Genesis Drug Discovery and Development is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Executive to join our growing team. This is a pivotal opportunity for an individual with a strong background in preclinical pharmacology and a passion for strategic business growth to significantly contribute to the expansion and success of our division. The successful candidate will play a lead role in expanding our client base, developing sophisticated marketing strategies, and fostering robust, long-term customer relationships. This position offers a unique opportunity to leverage expertise in the drug discovery process and preclinical pharmacology models at the intersection of science, business, and marketing.

Responsibilities :

  • Business Development (BD) :

Proactively identify and research potential clients within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and academic sectors, with a focus on their preclinical pharmacology needs.

  • Initiate and nurture relationships with key decision-makers through various channels, including targeted email campaigns, strategic phone outreach, and professional networking.
  • Develop and articulate a deep understanding of our comprehensive service offerings and unique value proposition, particularly in the context of preclinical pharmacology models.
  • Generate and qualify high-potential prospects.
  • Lead the development and execution of sophisticated business development strategiesin collaboration with the GD3 business development and customer relationship manager group.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences and events, actively networking and identifying new opportunities.
  • Marketing :
  • Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive marketing strategies to promote our specialized pharmacology services.

  • In close collaboration with the scientific team and leveraging AI tools, take ownership of the creation of high-impact marketing materials, including website content, email campaigns, thought leadership posts, brochures / handouts, and presentations.
  • Manage and optimize marketing databases and CRM systems.
  • Rigorously track and analyze marketing campaign performance including partnered SEO and paid search, providing actionable insights.
  • In Vivo Pharmacology Study Management :
  • Research disease models and design pilot studies for proof of concept experiments

  • In collaboration with clients, generate study plans with optimal design, including control arms, numbers of animals and endpoints.
  • Discuss, schedule and oversee the flawless execution of the study by the research associate team.
  • AI-Driven Business Development :
  • Strategically utilize AI tools and platforms to identify high-value leads, conduct in-depth market trend analysis, and personalize advanced outreach efforts.

  • Implement and leverage innovative AI-driven strategies to significantly enhance business development effectiveness.
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM) :
  • Cultivate and sustain strong, strategic relationships with existing and potential clients, acting as a trusted advisor.

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for complex client inquiries and requests, particularly those related to preclinical study design and execution.
  • Ensure exceptional client satisfaction by proactively addressing any concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in the CRM system.
  • Meeting Coordination :
  • Schedule, coordinate and participate in meetings with potential and existing clients, both virtual and in-person.

  • Prepare meeting agendas and materials.
  • Follow up on action items from meetings.
  • Quote Generation :
  • Collaborate extensively with the scientific team to thoroughly understand complex project requirements and develop accurate, competitive, and scientifically sound quotes for clients.

  • Streamline the quote generation process efficiently and ensure timely delivery to clients.
  • Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in a biological science, pharmacology, or a related field is required. A Master's degree or Ph.D. is preferred.
  • Demonstrated in-depth understanding of preclinical pharmacology experiments, in vivo and in vitro models, and the drug discovery process is essential.
  • Highly motivated, a rapid and strategic learner with a strong work ethic and proven leadership potential.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Superior organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Onsite availability is preferred, but not a prerequisite for consideration.
