Senior Director, Business Operations - Capital One Travel

Capital One Travel is seeking an experienced leader with a blend of operations and product experience to join the team as our head of business operations. You should be passionate about both innovation, continuous improvement and quality, as you’ll be responsible for creating the end-to-end processes that drive our business every day. This is a unique opportunity, as in this role you will lead a team responsible for end-to-end business processes—everything from tax and accounting teams working closely with our finance organization to well‑managed risk and compliance, to partnering with our Legal and Enterprise Supplier Management teams. Broadly, this leader will be responsible for everything required to keep Capital One Travel well managed as we continue to rapidly scale. You will strategically build and manage the foundation that allows our team to innovate with confidence.

You will define and improve processes while collaborating with smart and passionate leaders to influence results that have a direct impact on the business’s bottom line. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, collaborative partnership, and strong stakeholder management are essential to succeeding in this role. You will be a key leader on the Capital One Travel leadership team, reporting directly to the SVP, Head of Capital One Travel. You will be a peer to some amazing coworkers that are passionate about delivering an innovative new product to our customers. We are looking for an experienced leader with deep experience in a variety of operational areas across financial services and Travel. You will need to be a flexible thinker, able to apply your experience to new contexts, and always willing to jump in and solve whatever the most pressing program issue is. Key Responsibilities

• Support Capital One Travel’s well‑managed agenda by aiding in risk assessments, problem solving to remediate issues, create efficiencies, and reduce risk
• Providing subject matter expertise on processes and the Travel business when representing the team across the enterprise
• Collaborate with Capital One Travel team to advise on risk, process, and data management requirements and process for new intent, initiatives, and enterprise requests
• Create, run, and improve a control suite to ensure our risks are mitigated, regulatory and corporate policies are met, and intent matches execution
• Oversee the remediation of any issues & complaints associated within the business
• Manage vendor performance and relationships with the third parties required to deliver our product
• Collaborate with Financial Planning and Analysis and Controller to build reporting and dashboards for business management
• Establish a strong and inclusive culture within a rapidly expanding organization

The minimum and maximum full‑time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part‑time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

McLean, VA : $264,300 - $301,700 for Sr Business Director

New York, NY : $288,400 - $329,100 for Sr Business Director

This role is also eligible to earn performance‑based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and / or long‑term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non‑discretionary depending on the plan.
