Job Summary:
The Machine Operator is an entry-level manufacturing role supporting a closed production line environment. This position focuses on packaging, labeling, material handling, and maintaining cleanliness while following strict GMP and quality standards. The role is ideal for candidates seeking long-term stability who demonstrate strong attendance, attention to detail, and a positive attitude.
Success in this role is defined by reliability, adherence to procedures, teamwork, and consistent product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor equipment functions and operate per documented procedures
- Maintain operational logbooks and accurate production records
- Fill hoppers with empty vials and support labeling and packaging activities
- Maintain segregation of materials, lot numbers, and receiving numbers
- Support material handling as needed (no forklift or power jack required)
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and compliant work area
- Adhere to GMP, device history records, hazard communication, and safety rules
- Accept full accountability for product quality
- Report unresolved issues to supervisors or management promptly
- Maintain accurate documentation of work-in-process and inventory
- Demonstrate steady progress in learning assigned equipment and processes
- Follow supervisor instructions and inspect raw and finished goods throughout production
Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required
Required Experience:
- Minimum year of manufacturing experience (mandatory)
- Candidates with frequent job changes may not be considered
Nice-to-Have Experience:
- Experience in bottling, food & beverage, or similar production environments preferred
Required Skills:
- Basic computer skills for training purposes
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work well within a small team environment
Work Environment / Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods while packaging and labeling
- Lift and carry materials up to pounds
- Closed production line environment
- No direct contact with hazardous materials or chemicals
- Safety glasses, gloves, and hair nets provided
- Steel or composite toe shoes/boots required (not required for interview)
