Job Summary (List Format) :

\n

\n- Minimum of 2 years ICU nursing experience required

\n- Must have cardiovascular, open heart, and balloon pump experience

\n- First-time travelers accepted

\n- Care for adult and geriatric patients in a 28-bed ICU (average census : 24)

\n- Nurse-to-patient ratio : 1 : 2

\n- Every other weekend shift required

\n- No on-call duties

\n- Self-scheduling offered

\n- Required to wear royal blue scrubs

\n- Essential skills :

\n- Interpretation of dysrhythmias

\n- IV insulin protocol management

\n- Arterial line management

\n- Blood product administration

\n- Central line and PICC line care / management

\n- Starting IVs

\n- Care of ventilated patients

\n- ABG interpretation

\n- Suctioning

\n- Required certifications :

\n- ACLS

\n- BLS

\n- NIH

\n- VIP, MAB, or CPI (in-person courses only)

\n- 13-week contract duration
