About the Opportunity This is an open position with the FirstEnergy Service Company, a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp. The analyst will work within the reporting team and across various stakeholders including finance, accounting, and operations teams to ensure accurate internal management reporting and external financial reporting throughout the organization. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex financial information effectively. This position reports to the Director, Reporting and Corporate Business Services and is located at the Corporate Office in Akron, Ohio. Responsibilities include :
- Participating in the preparation and distribution of various monthly internal reports
- Participating in the preparation, documentation and analysis of the Company's periodic SEC and regulatory reporting and disclosures, specifically management's discussion and analysis
- Participating in the preparation of supporting materials for investor relations
- Participating in the preparation and analysis of annual budgets and forecasts
- Providing support and assistance to external auditors
- Conducting ad hoc research, analyze data, interpret results, and provide financial analysis to senior management for various ad hoc projects
- Develop solutions to improve the accuracy or efficiency of complex business processes and / or projects
- Interfacing with and support various departments within the organization (state finance, rates and regulatory affairs, investor relations, treasury, etc.)
- Consistently anticipating and delivering against a defined action plan
- Understanding the financial and strategic goals of FirstEnergy

Qualifications include :
