Building Maintenance
This is maintenance and janitorial work, which includes plumbing, electrical, HVAC carpentry, pool facility maintenance, painting and other duties necessary to keep the assigned areas safe and clean.

Performs all aspects of general building maintenance work including janitorial work, maintenance and repairs, painting interiors and exteriors of buildings and structures, masonry and stonework and minor plumbing, HVAC and / or electrical work under licensed supervision; emphasis on park buildings and park shelter cleanings and closing prior to park closing at dusk.
Performs related duties as assigned.
Graduation from high school or GED equivalent and 2 years of technical training with 1 - 3 years of related maintenance experience; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the following knowledge, ability and skills :
Knowledge of materials, methods, practices, procedures, techniques, tools, and equipment used in building and facility maintenance and construction. Occupational hazards and safety practices and methods to avoid or minimize risk. The use of general office equipment including computers and related software.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Understand and carry out instructions. Work with cleaning compounds, detergents, chemicals and other solutions. Work in confined spaces. Maintain accurate maintenance records. Perform light to heavy physical tasks under varying weather conditions. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, coworkers and the general public.
Skill in snow and ice removal operations. Oral communications. The use of power tools, equipment, machinery and vehicles used in the performance of the essential job functions.
Necessary special requirements include Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) or Certified Pool Operator (CPO) within 1 year of hire; CDL with B and C and airbrake endorsements, A preferred, within 1 year of hire under current DOT regulations; CPR / First Aid / AED Certification
