Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state

Minimum 1 year of recent clinical experience in an Emergency Room (ER) setting

BLS certification (American Heart Association)

ACLS certification preferred

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills for emergency care

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities in a fast-paced healthcare environment

ER Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department

Assess, triage, and prioritize patient care based on acuity and clinical needs

Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as ordered by physicians

Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes

Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record (EMR)

Respond rapidly to emergencies and changing patient conditions in the ER

Educate and support patients and their families throughout the emergency care process
