We are recruiting for an excellent mid-sized firm in DC in need of a litigation associate with 1-3 years of law firm experience . Ideally, the hire will have insurance coverage experience.

Some familiarity with insurance law is required.

Responsibilities

  • Represent insurance carrier clients in complex insurance coverage cases in state and federal courts throughout the country
  • Draft pleadings and discovery motions. Draft and respond to written discovery
  • Prepare for and take fact and expert witness depositions
  • Draft dispositive motions and present oral arguments
  • Argue motions, Attend trial as second-chair or lead counsel
  • Prepare legal memoranda, status reports and budgets for clients

    • Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of litigation experience with a law firm
  • Some familiarity with insurance law is required
  • DC bar admission

    • Hours and Compensation

  • 1900 hours
  • $125k-140k (there may be some flexibility)
