Sr. Operator Solvent 2nd Shift

The Opportunity :

Under moderate supervision, assemble mechanical units or fabricated parts to make sub-assemblies or complete products within routine and repetitive assembly operations. Use various hand and power tools and operates equipment which may include jigs, dies, fixtures, templates, punch presses, riveting machines, circular shears, and drill presses in order to cut, file, fit, punch, ream, rivet, form, and / or assemble. Fit, align, calibrate, and adjust parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product requirements. Monitor quality of products and raw materials. May read simple blueprints. Perform simple routine maintenance and cleaning. Determine and corrects minor machine malfunctions. May train less experienced peers.

Avantor is looking for an experienced Sr. Operator to optimize our Performance Materials team, delivering results against some of the most complex business and technology initiatives.

This role will be a full-time position based out of our Paris, KY facility. You will have the opportunity prepare, setup, weigh, package, fill, and label bulk materials in accordance with cGMP, procedures. This also includes operating production scales, including verification and calibrations, and handling hazardous materials using all appropriate and mandatory safety gear. What we're looking for

• Education : High school diploma required
• Experience : 3+ years in cGMP manufacturing environment, along with general understanding of semi-automated and / or automated equipment is preferred
