ICU RN Job Details Location : Peoria, Illinois (61605) – Illinois healthcare jobs Unit : Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 8 beds, high acuity Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : 12 / 15 / 2025 – End : 3 / 16 / 2026) Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00pm – 7 : 30am), rotating weekends and holidays Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Shifts per Week : 3 shifts per week Estimated Weekly Salary : $1880 - $2020 Employment Type : Travel Registered Nurse (Travel RN) Charting System : Epic EMR ICU RN Qualifications Active Illinois RN license (or proof of application in progress) Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA required) Clinical skills in PEG tube care / feedings, CVC / PICC / Midline usage and care, tracheostomy management Proficient in caring for sedated, ventilated patients and titrating vasopressors, sedation, and pain control drips Ability to work rotating weekends and holidays Negative drug screen required (OSF is a Drug-Free Campus) ICU Nurse Responsibilities Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to critically ill ICU patients, including those with respiratory failure, post-surgical needs, wound care, IV antibiotics, post CVA, post trauma, and cardiac conditions Titrate and manage ICU-level drips (Precedex, Propofol, Fentanyl, Versed, Lasix, Insulin, Amiodarone, Nitro, Levophed, Dopamine, Cardizem, and more) Perform PEG tube care / feedings, manage central lines, and care for tracheostomy patients Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including respiratory therapists and tele-health MDs Float to Medical-Surgical units as needed to support patient care Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR Participate in unit orientation and ongoing professional development Join our healthcare team in Peoria, Illinois—apply today for this ICU Registered Nurse travel job and make a difference in critical care!
