About Us

The House Attendant keeps public areas sparkling, helps guests with a smile, sets up fun events, and supports the housekeeping team. This role needs detail-oriented folks who can handle physical tasks and provide top-notch service.

KEY SKILLS / RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Sanitation and Cleanliness : Ensure the highest levels of sanitation and cleanliness in all facilities and equipment. Spruce up lobbies, hallways, and restrooms. Make sure everything shines, from carpets to furniture.
  • Guest Service & Communication : Be quick to respond to guest requests and deliver items with a friendly attitude. Exhibit great customer service skills.
  • Teamwork : Assist with setting up meeting rooms and events.
  • Safety and Compliance : Safeguard sensitive areas and handle lost-and-found items.  Practice safe work habits to avoid possible injuries.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High School diploma or equivalent, and / or experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver license for the applicable State and an acceptable MVR (Motor Vehicle Driving record (property specific-driving).
  • Must work well in stressful, high pressure situations.

    • PROPERTY INFORMATION :

    Offering free WiFi access and complimentary breakfast, SpringHill Suites by Marriott Houston Downtown / Convention Center is located 2,300 feet from Toyota Center, home of the Houston Rockets. Every room at SpringHill Suites by Marriott features a flat-screen TV, mini-refrigerator, microwave, a work desk and ironing facilities. Other room amenities include a separate seating area with a sofa bed and an additional TV. Featuring a hairdryer, the private bathroom comes with a bath or shower. An onsite fitness center is available to guests at this hotel. SpringHill Suites by Marriott Houston Downtown / Convention Center also offers a 24-hour front desk and a mini-market. Daily maid service and a business center are available. The hotel is within 6 minutes' drive of Minute Maid Park and BBVA Compass Stadium. NRG Football Stadium is 8 mi away.
