Senior Building Automation Controls System Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Building Automation Specialist to oversee the installation, commissioning, and servicing of Building Automation Systems (BAS). The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Tridium Niagara, Distech Controls, or Schneider Ecostruxture platforms and a strong understanding of HVAC systems, networking, and control logic. This role involves leading field teams, coordinating with project managers and engineers, and ensuring high-quality delivery of controls solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

Lead and execute BAS installations, commissioning, and troubleshooting across commercial and mission-critical environments.

Program, configure, and integrate control systems using Tridium Niagara, Distech, or Schneider software.

Interpret mechanical drawings, control schematics, and sequences of operation to develop and implement control strategies.

Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure timely and accurate project delivery.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior technicians and subcontractors.

Perform system diagnostics and resolve issues related to hardware, software, and network communications.

Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, commissioning reports, and service records.

Ensure compliance with safety standards, codes, and company policies.

Qualifications :

Proven experience with one or more of the following : Tridium Niagara, Distech Controls, or Schneider.

Strong understanding of HVAC systems, electrical wiring, and control theory.

Familiarity with BACnet, Modbus, and other open protocols.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to job sites as needed.

Preferred Qualifications :

Niagara AX / N4 certification or equivalent.

Knowledge of IP networking and cybersecurity best practices in BAS.

Experience with energy management and analytics platforms.
