JOB TITLE : Clinic RN / LPN
M-F (4 day / week) 8 : 30 - 5 : 00 p.m.
DEPARTMENT : Belleville Medical Clinic
JOB RELATIONSHIPS : Responsible To : Clinic Nurse Manager
Responsible For : Does not supervise other employees
Interrelationships : Works cooperatively with clinic and hospital departments and medical staff.
JOB SUMMARY :
Responsible for placing patients in rooms; to assist with procedures, treatments and examinations, under direction of a licensed physician; recording vital statistics, obtaining nature of reason presenting for office visit, complete basic medical record tasks; including entering patient medical and social history, medications, prepare prior authorizations, communicate / relay medical information to patients and other medical facilities for patient care, prepare and administer medications to patients; including injections, sends physician orders to other departments or facilities, send prescription requests per physician orders, responds to all incoming patient calls; interprets patients symptoms and communicates them to the physician, collaborates with physicians and nurses to devise individual patient care plans, maintains adequate supplies and stocking exam rooms.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS :
- Experience : up to 6 months in a similar or related healthcare position preferred
- Education : Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Kansas. BLS is required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Other Skills : Ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care according to individual needs. Knowledge of EMR systems. Must demonstrate consistent professional conduct. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication, as well as excellent interpersonal skills with patients, staff, and other health care professionals.

Basic knowledge of medical software / computerMake appointments, as neededPrepare clean and organized treatment or examination patient roomsAssist with office surgeries, under the supervision of a physicianAssist with examination of patients, under the supervision of a physicianAssist with treatment of patients, under the supervision of a physicianPerform select clinical dutiesVitals / Blood pressure checks, weights, oximeter readingsComplete and enter patient medical, social history and current medications into the EMRPrepare and dispense or inject medication to patientsDressing changes under the supervision of a physicianResponds to incoming patient phone calls, interprets patient symptoms and communicates them to the physicianReturns patient phone calls, providing the best care and advice per physicianOrders necessary procedures, treatments, prescriptions per physicianCollaborates with physicians and nurses to devise individual patient care plansSchedule outpatient procedures and complete necessary paperworkPrepare and submit patient prior authorizations, including medicationsDocument communication with patients in chartsPerform basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records, and filingMaintain patient confidentiality at all timesMaintains clinic compliance requirements at all timesMaintain and stock patient room suppliesIn-Service, as required by Republic County Hospital and Belleville Medical ClinicPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS : Level 3 (Available upon request)
