Location : Springfield, IL 62769 (Illinois nursing jobs)

Healthcare Setting : Labor and Delivery Unit

Assignment Type : Travel RN contract

Start Date : November 17, 2025

End Date : March 15, 2026

Contract Duration : 17 weeks

Nursing Shift : 12-hour night shifts (NOC), every other weekend, no on-call

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary : $2200-$2360

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Illinois RN license (Illinois healthcare jobs)

Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience

BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification

ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate and skilled nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns

Monitor patient status and respond to obstetric emergencies

Assist with deliveries and postpartum nursing care

Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams

Accurately document patient care and clinical interventions

Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and newborn care best practices
