Arapahoe County is looking for a full-time
Junior Product Analyst - Digital Services. Under general supervision, this position is responsible for working directly with county departments to deliver government services that are simple, effective, and easy to use; supporting the vision, roadmap, and enhanced digital delivery of user-centered products to solve problems and modernize county services; researching, process mapping, and analyzing data and systems to recommend product decisions.

Duties
- Assists the Product Manager in developing and maintaining strategic short-term and long-term roadmaps for technology products for business partners, ensuring alignment to the Information Technology department and the County’s strategic priorities specific to digitalization and citizen facing technology.
- Collaborates with business partners to ensure the best usage of technology and identify strategic business function opportunities for both short and long term, and track adoption across relevant departments.
- Assists with information gathering conversations with end users to obtain needs and requirements, determines scope and prioritization of activities based on business and customer impact.
- Researches and identifies potential products.
- Collaborates with vendors and/or development staff to determine the most effective way to achieve product requirements.
- Supports the Product Manager in collaboration with IT leadership to create and implement product business strategies that leverage and integrate IT strategy of architecture, infrastructure, and application development of existing and new technology to achieve business objectives.
- Assists the Product Manager with managing customer expectations with respect to IT Services, identify gaps between business needs and IT services, contribute to finding innovative solutions to fill those gaps, and influence stakeholders buy-in to change and/or adoption as necessary.
- Uncovers regulations, statutes, and rules governing programs and services to ensure alignment with technology options.
- Collaborates with IT staff to ensure alignment of operational business process.
- Assists in defining metrics and key performance indicators and tracks and reports metrics.

- Capable in assisting of writing/creating business requirements, problem statements, gap analyses, statements of work.
- Ability to present technical and nontechnical data in an influential and articulate manner in order to gain understanding and buy in from audiences.

- Understanding in the areas of application programming, database and system design including Internet, Intranet, Extranet and application architectures.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelors’ Degree
- 0-1 year of functional experience in information technology and the software industry, serving in roles such as Business Analyst, Product Owner, Product Manager or Business Relationship.
- Any equivalent combination of education and work experience that satisfy the requirements of the job will be considered.
