Job Description
JOB OBJECTIVE : We are looking for a talented and motivated Graphic Design Intern to support the Academia & Government (A / G) Marketing team. This position offers hands-on experience creating visually compelling assets across digital and print platforms. The intern will collaborate closely with the Sr. UX Visual Designer to design marketing collateral, digital campaigns, and event materials that bring Promega's brand to life while gaining exposure to user-centered design principles.
CORE DUTIES :
1. Assist in the design and production of marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, posters, trade show graphics, and digital ads.
2. Support the development of visual content for social media, email campaigns, and website landing pages.
3. Create presentation templates, infographics, and visual assets for internal and external use.
4. Prepare design files for production, including layout adjustments, color management, and formatting for print and digital use.
5. Collaborate with the Sr. UX Visual Designer on creative concept development and campaign themes. Organize and manage digital design assets and files for team use.
6. Explore design trends and propose fresh ideas to enhance Promega's brand presence.
7. Ensure brand consistency across all marketing deliverables by updating collateral and collaborating with Academia / Government SBU Team.
8. Demonstrate inclusion through words and actions, acting with kindness, curiosity, and respect for others.
9. Embrace and apply Promega's 6 Emotional & Social Intelligence (ESI) core principles in daily work.
10. Understand and comply with ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements applicable to our business.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS :
1. Currently pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, Digital Media, Visual Communication, or a related field.
2. Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign); familiarity with Figma or other design tools is a plus.
3. Strong creative skills with an eye for detail, typography, and layout.
4. Excellent communication skills and ability to present design ideas effectively.
5. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
1. Experience creating both print and digital design assets.
2. Familiarity with branding principles and visual storytelling.
3. Interest in the life sciences, biotechnology, or academic / government research
4. Basic understanding of UX concepts (wireframing, usability) to support cross-functional projects.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS :
1. Ability to remain stationary for several hours at a time.
2. Ability to move objects up to 20 pounds.
3. Ability to transport items between buildings.
4. Ability to use a computer / Microsoft Office applications.
