Why this role matters
Drive end-to-end project success—scope, schedule, cost, quality, safety.Serve as the technical and organizational hub between customers, designers, production, purchasing, controls, field service, vendors, and subcontractors.Protect timelines and budgets while elevating customer communication and experience.What you’ll do
Own full project delivery from kick-off to closeout.Partner closely with Designers to finalize design drawings; confirm engineering calculations for media, poppet valves, fans, burners, and ducts.Coordinate with Purchasing to generate accurate Purchase Requisitions and Bills of Materials; review and approve purchase orders and invoices.Develop, publish, and update integrated project schedules; align with customers, internal teams, vendors, and subcontractors.Attend scheduled Production Meetings; monitor fabrication for accuracy, quality, and schedule adherence.Plan installation and commissioning; supervise on-site activities when required.Maintain a Low Risk Tolerance and High-Risk Awareness; reinforce safe work practices with all stakeholders.Proactively expand responsibilities as requested by management.Travel
25%–30% travel to customer sites and partner facilities.Domestic trips across the U.S., plus occasional international travel to Canada and Mexico.What you bringRequired
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering is almost always required; alternatively, 3–5 years equivalent experience in industrial manufacturing, engineering, or system design in lieu of a degree, with demonstrated ability to manage technical projects and interface with fabrication or environmental control systems (e.g., RTOs).3–7 years hands-on engineering experience prior to project management.2–5 years leading engineering or technical projects; understands initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closing.Experience leading cross-functional teams (engineers, designers, contractors, vendors, stakeholders).Proven budget and schedule control; track deliverables against milestones.Ability to perform essential job functions with precision and urgency; independent judgment and initiative with minimal oversight.Strong mathematics / analytical capability; excellent communicator and collaborator.Working knowledge of airflow and sheet metal design; oxidizers and heat recovery equipment exposure is a plus.Comfort managing multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.Blueprints, layouts, P&IDs—able to read and work from all.Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word proficiency.Commitment to safety with Low Risk Tolerance and High-Risk Awareness.Preferred
BS in mechanical or electrical engineering (or related) from a four-year accredited university with relevant projects / coursework in industrial manufacturing or environmental control systems such as RTOs.3+ years experience in project management or industrial equipment installation.Physical demands
Frequent exposure to dust, noise, and smells.Good overall health; strong focus, agility, balance, and vision (close, depth, peripheral).Pulling / pushing / reaching / climbing / kneeling / crawling; fine hand work; extended standing.Lift / move 25–50 lbs regularly; 50–75 lbs with assistance.Work around heavy steel fabrication, welding, painting, and assembly.Possible exposure to varied weather and temperatures.Professional proficiencies
