Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a travel position in the Emergency Department with Level 1 Trauma and Epic charting experience required.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

Position is in the Emergency Department (ED) of a Level 1 Trauma Center

Day shifts from 9 : 00AM to 9 : 30PM with a required 2-week night rotation for all travelers

Includes 2 call shifts per 6-week schedule period, with 13-hour call shifts and expectation to be onsite within one hour

Uses Epic EMR system and previous Epic charting experience is required

No local candidates will be considered due to a 50-mile radius rule

Fulfill all clinical responsibilities and competencies specific to ED nursing

Complete patient assessments and develop individualized patient care plans

Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation as required by unit standards

Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Adhere to strict safety protocols and immediately address any safety hazards

RTO (time off) not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract

Travelers may not remain in assignment longer than 1 year without a 6-month break in service

Travel partners are not accepted

\n \n Requirements\n

Active Illinois RN license in good standing, temporary license accepted

Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association

Minimum of one year of recent relevant nursing experience in an emergency department setting

Demonstrated Level 1 Trauma experience

Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred

Experience with Epic EMR required
