Job Purpose

As the Engraving Technician I will assist the Engraving Manager in fabricating labeling, signage, recognition and personalization items for BG-Engraving and BG-Masterworks. They will perform in a fast paced, detail-oriented environment, ensuring customer satisfaction and high-quality output.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Adhere to company policies and present a professional, positive attitude at all times.
  • Use design software to create or modify engraving items.
  • Set up, program, and operate all necessary equipment including rotary engravers, CO2 and Fiber laser engravers, and digital printers.
  • Set-up new customers and leads into CRM system using various software programs.
  • Lead projects on New or Existing Clients' work orders from start to finish with strong customer and technical service.
  • Identify, report, and recommend corrective action for any non-conformance on inventory / supply, pre-production and production runs that do not meet internal and / or external standards.
  • Clean / deburr labels as needed.
  • Perform light maintenance on equipment for preventive maintenance, replace consumables, and minor repair / replacement of worn or broken parts.
  • Count and stock finished parts as well as perform inventory counts when needed.
  • Review work orders to ensure work is performed according to specifications.
  • Identify and recommend new processes necessary, such as new jig design, for new product offerings or to optimize existing product processes for quality or efficiency.
  • Provide superior quality customer service and communication.
  • Perform and communicate well with others in a team environment.
  • Operate, maintain and clean Engraving machinery and equipment.
  • Maintain a work area that is always “tour ready”.
  • Professionally interact with customers via phone, email and in person.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred.
  • 1 - 2 years of manufacturing / assembly experience preferred.
  • Experience with graphic design / CAD software a plus.
  • Experience operating or programming CNC equipment a plus.
  • On-the-job training will be provided for specific job assignments.
