We are looking for an enthusiastic Director Med Surg to help us reach our goals. The Director of Medical-Surgical Care is for directing the activities of nursing and ancillary staff in collaboration with other departments and the medical staff to ensure quality patient care in the respective care areas. Manages all direct and indirect care given to patients within the departments, determines staffing requirements, interviews, hires and evaluates staff, develops annual goals and budget, provides leadership for growth and development of new services, oversees staff development, competency and leadership development / mentoring, ensures department wide compliance with statutory mandates, regulatory requirements and accreditation standards, designs and implements department quality improvement program, participates in hospital and service line quality improvement efforts, manages operations and resources to achieve quality, financial, growth, productivity, engagement and care experience objectives, and manages resources consistent with department volume and maintains inventory control.
Education & Experience : Registered Nurse with an active license to practice in New Hampshire, Bachelors of Science in Nursing required, Masters of Science in Nursing preferred, American Heart Association BCLS and ACLS and PALS required, minimum five years medical surgical or relevant specialty care experience required, two years in a managerial or supervisory position required.
