As a Solution Architect Expert within PNC’s Enterprise Technology organization, you will be based either in Pittsburgh, PA or Dallas, TX. The position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis.
Job Description :
- \tProvides technical guidance, direction, and best practices in the payments orchestration, processing and post-processing components.
- \tFocuses on payments domain (capabilities, data, services, orchestration, clearing connectors)
- \tUses advanced technical knowledge and industry experience to develop and drive solution architecture design strategy. Utilizes strong understanding of the broader picture of systems, programs, and initiatives to actualize solutions to interconnect systems.
- \tLeads technical design sessions with the development teams, including the creation of class models, sequence diagrams, component models, and detailed design specifications to ensure that architecture standards are followed.
- \tProvides architectural leadership on a variety of issues in software designs, system architecture, and solution-oriented technologies. Serves as a knowledge resource and thought leader to advise on critical issue management.
- \tCommunicates implications of architectural decisions, technology costs / benefits, and implementation requirements. Maintains strong executive presence to communicate and guide strategy to peers and executive-level LOB and Technology leaders.
- \tDemonstrates expertise operating as a success engineer to manage solution architecture project outcomes, including hardware and software design; ensuring composite architecture is scalable, reliable, available, and manageable.
- \tStandardizes and implements scalable and reliable engineering and deployment patterns for common technologies. Ensures solution designs meet PNC’s needs for confidentiality, integrity, and availability and adhere to the our policies, standards, and procedures.

\tKnowledge of technologies and methods to design processing mechanisms and roadmaps to execute business application systems; ability to design these roadmaps and deploy supportive interfaces for end-users to access related systems, in accordance with standards and processes.\tDevelops strategies for platform architecture; ensures that these strategies align with business requirements.\tEstablishes best practices, processes and standards in platform architecture for one's own department and throughout the organization.\tCreates or introduces new methodologies and approaches to develop platform architecture.\tConsults on complex issues in platform architecture design for the entire organization.\tDesigns training programs to improve the technical ability of platform architects and evaluates the effectiveness of this program on a regular basis.\tLeads discussions on future trends, methodologies and processes of platform architecture throughout the enterprise.Target Architecture | Subject Matter Depth and Breadth | Required
