Senior Quality Engineer Aerospace & Defense Manufacturing

Location : North Billerica, MA

Employment Type : Full-Time | Onsite

Travel : Up to 20%

Compensation : Up to $130,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.

A well-established precision manufacturing company supporting critical aerospace and defense applications is seeking an experienced Senior Quality Engineer to lead quality initiatives, drive compliance, and support cross-functional teams in a fast-paced production environment. This role plays a key part in maintaining industry certifications and exceeding customer expectations.

Responsibilities :

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality procedures, inspection criteria, and documentation
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective / preventive actions using 8D, 5-Why, A3, and other structured methodologies
• Manage and review First Article Inspections (FAIs) in accordance with AS9102 standards
• Ensure compliance with AS9100D, ISO9001, and internal quality management systems
• Analyze process performance using statistical tools and present findings to leadership
• Support internal, customer, and third-party audits; respond to findings and lead resolution activities
• Provide training and mentorship to inspection and production personnel
• Collaborate on PFMEAs, control plans, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Work directly with suppliers and customers to resolve quality concerns
• Utilize tools such as IMSXpress, Discus, ProLink SPC, and ERP / MRP systems for reporting and documentation
