Education / Experience

Minimum Required :

High School Diploma or equivalent.

OR

Will accept 3 years of Security Officer experience in lieu of education requirement

Preferred :

One year experience in a Security related field.

License / Certification

Minimum Required :

Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record if candidate will be driving a vehicle while

working, or if not, must have a valid NYS ID Card

Must meet requirements of New York State Security Guard Licensing program and successfully pass within 3 months of hire.

Work Environment

The work requires some physical exertion such s prolonged periods of standing, bending, reaching, crouching, stooping, stretching, and lifting moderately heavy items such as manuals and boxes.|

The work involves regular and recurrent exposure to hazards, unpleasantness, and discomforts such as moving machine parts, shielded radiation sources, irritant chemicals, acid fumes, physical stresses, high noise levels, adverse weather conditions, and high temperatures from steam lines. Protective equipment and clothing may be needed, including hardhat, metatarsal shoes, earmuffs or plugs, goggles, respirators and gloves.
